Norwich manager Bryan Gunn called for more of the same after watching his side record a shock 2-0 victory over Championship promotion chasers Cardiff at Carrow Road.

Gunn now wants to see the relegation-threatened Canaries maintain the momentum for the remainder of the season starting with Saturday's home match against fellow strugglers Plymouth.

"That's exactly what I asked for from the players," said Gunn, whose side had slipped five points adrift of safety after a dismal 2-0 defeat at Blackpool on Saturday. "When you look at the Blackpool performance sandwiched in between a great win at QPR and another one here, you do scratch your head. But there's no point looking back now, it's about looking forward."

He added: "We have got to maintain that level of commitment and performance for the rest of the season, starting with another very important game against Plymouth on Saturday, and if we do that we'll have a chance.

"It was a great win and we'll all enjoy it but it will soon be a question of getting everyone's feet back on the ground again and start preparing for the next game.

"We've now set the standard and we've eight games left and 24 points to play for. We have got to keep it up."
