Brighton manager Russell Slade felt his struggling side deserved more from their 0-0 draw at home to Tranmere.

Albion have only registered two home wins in the last five months but came close to making it three against Rovers, with both sides having good penalty claims turned down.

"We deserved to win the game so only drawing it leaves me bitterly disappointed, but we won't be giving up," admitted Slade, whose side are six points adrift of safety.

"It was more like a Russell Slade side in terms of effort and endeavour. I'm encouraged by the performance. If you don't get the attitude right, you don't get the performance and the signs are good. Now we need to go to Milton Keynes Dons and get a result there."

"Every game now is a win situation. There is no reason why we cannot cause an upset and get three points at Milton Keynes Dons."
