Exeter assistant manager John Yems is looking forward to the newly-promoted Grecians' Carling Cup first round clash at home to Championship side QPR.
Paul Tisdale's City side will play in League One next season following automatic promotion from League Two, a season after winning the Blue Square Premier play-off final at Wembley.
Yems said: "It's a great draw for us, against one of the big Championship clubs."
He added: "I think it shows the level we`ve come to that we can really look forward to a game like this and it's at home so it will be a real early-season treat for our fans.
"I`m sure on the back of our back-to-back promotions, our fans will really be getting behind us on the night - I imagine the whole club is looking forward to it."
