Derby are 'close' to completing the signings of Dean Moxey and Lee Croft - with boss Nigel Clough expecting the deals to be finalised before the end of the month.

League One newcomers Exeter have accepted a bid for Moxey, who visited Derby's Moor Farm training Ground on Monday to hold talks with Clough.

"We have had a chat with Dean and we are getting close, it is a good opportunity for him if he wants to take it and I think he wants to come," said Clough.

"We have just got to agree one or two small things with him but I hope he sees the opportunity that is there for him to play in the Championship for a club like Derby," he added.

On former Norwich winger Croft, Clough added: "Being on a free transfer, Lee is probably a bit closer than Dean is. But we would hope to have them both in for the start of pre-season training on July 1."
