Grimsby loanee Josh Lillis has been handed a new four-year deal by parent club Scunthorpe.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper, the son of former Iron striker Mark Lillis, is currently on an initial one-month loan with the Mariners.
Scunthorpe manager Nigel Adkins told BBC Radio Humberside: "He's one we're trying to develop. He needs games - that's why he's on loan at Grimsby. All being well we'll have a goalkeeper on our hands if and when Joe Murphy moves on."
