Leeds stay top despite stalemate

Leeds remain top of Coca-Cola League One after their clash with second-placed Charlton ended goalless at Elland Road.

Bristol Rovers missed out on the chance to close the gap as they were thrashed 5-1 at resurgent Norwich.

Colchester - whom Lambert left to head to Carrow Road - moved up into fourth after they beat Huddersfield 1-0 at the Weston Homes Community Stadium with an 80th-minute strike from Kayode Odejayi.

MK Dons remain in the hunt after Jermaine Easter notched the only goal to condemn 10-man Brighton to their fourth defeat in five home games.

Swindon extended their unbeaten league record to nine games as they won 3-2 at Brentford while the match between Oldham and Yeovil finished goalless.

James Henry notched a hat-trick as Millwall hit five without reply against Tranmere to continue the pressure on Rovers manager John Barnes.

Southampton reached positive points figures after they thrashed Gillingham 4-1 at St Mary's. The Saints, who started with a 10-point penalty following administration, had a double from Adam Lallana help to earn them victory.

Exeter beat Hartlepool 3-1 after going behind, while Southend won 2-0 at 10-man Stockport with a second-half double from Lee Barnard after Paul Huntington had been sent off.

Scott McGleish's header gave Leyton Orient a 1-0 win at Wycombe, while a dramatic last-minute goal from Richard Keogh gave Carlisle a 2-2 draw at Walsall.
