Charlton manager Phil Parkinson is already eyeing a trip to Wembley after his side booked their place in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Southern Section quarter-finals with a comfortable 4-1 win over Barnet.

The Addicks, second in League One, maintained their impressive momentum despite falling behind to a John O'Flynn strike as goals from Izale McLeod, Tamer Tuna, Nicky Bailey and Scott Wagstaff saw them through.

Parkinson said: "The league is, of course, our priority. But there are a lot of happy players in the dressing room and that's great for them."

He added: "We wanted to keep the momentum going to our good start and we picked a team that could do that.

"This competition is about getting the attitude right in the first few rounds because all of a sudden the prize of getting to Wembley gets ever closer.

"It was a combination of our experienced players showing a fantastic attitude and our younger players taking their opportunity."
