Friend joins Iron on loan

Scunthorpe have signed defender George Friend on a month's loan from Wolves.

Friend, who spent a period on-loan at Southend earlier in the season, is eligible for Scunthorpe's match against Swansea on Saturday.

The 22-year-old began his career at Exeter City, spending spells on loan at Tiverton and Team Bath before helping the Grecians to promotion to the Football League.
