Norwich have extended the loan spell of Newcastle goalkeeper Fraser Forster until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old has kept seven clean sheets in 12 appearances for the Canaries to help the club climb to fifth in League One.

As part of the deal, Forster will be able to feature in the play-offs should City be involved and Newcastle have also allowed him to play in the FA Cup.

It means Forster, who had to sit out the first-round tie at non-league Paulton Rogers, will be available for the trip to Carlisle on November 28.

Meanwhile, winger Simon Whaley has joined League two side Bradford until January 2 on an emergency loan deal.

Whaley has not featured for Norwich since September and recently returned from a two-month spell at Rochdale.
