Barnet lost ground on their League Two promotion rivals as they were held to a goalless draw by Hereford.

Neither side looked likely of snatching the victory despite Craig King and striker Leon Constantine going close for the Bulls.

Blustery conditions in north London made any chance of flowing football impossible with Hereford striker Gavin McCallum a rare bright spark.

Winger King squandered the best chance of the first half when he headed Ryan Valentine's cross wide of the mark and it was no better after the break as the Bees failed to force the visitors onto the back foot.

John Trewick's troops could have taken the lead in the 55th minute but Constantine blasted over when well placed.

Barnet hit back through John O'Flynn as he flashed a shot across the face of the box, but keeper Adam Bartlett was equal to it and parried wide.

The Bulls could have snatched all three points late on when the impressive McCallum found himself in acres of space in the box - but he headed into the ground and wide of the post.
