Stockport boss Gary Ablett will be missing two players through suspension for the home clash with Brighton.

Midfielder David Poole serves the final game of a three-match ban and Jabo Ibehre is also suspended after he was sent off in Saturday's goalless draw at Carlisle.

MK Dons forward Ibehre last week joined County for 28 days on but saw red for two bookings at Brunton Park and now misses out against the Seagulls.

Ablett has no other major concerns and saw his rock-bottom side end a horrendous 12-match losing streak at the weekend.

The ex-Liverpool defender said: "The players have had a fantastic attitude through this dreadful run. Carlisle put us under pressure at the start of the second half but we stood firm."

Marcos Painter returns to the Brighton squad.

The on-loan Swansea defender was ineligible for Saturday's glamour FA Cup trip to Aston Villa and should come straight back in at left-back, with Jim McNulty dropping to the bench.

Boss Gus Poyet has no new injury worries following his side's plucky 3-2 defeat at Villa Park, so defenders Adam El-Abd and Colin Hawkins remain the only absentees.

El-Abd hopes to return to training within the next few days after a foot injury but Hawkins is due to undergo surgery to finally cure his heel problem later this week.

McNulty, Gary Dicker and James Tunnicliffe will all be returning to their former club.
