Coventry midfielder Michael Doyle has revealed his desire to turn his loan spell at Leeds into a permanent move this summer.

The 28-year-old joined the League One club on a season-long loan in August and has been a regular fixture in Simon Grayson's side.

He told the Coventry Telegraph: "I have got another year left on my contract at Coventry but I hope to get something sorted here (Leeds)."

Doyle added: "It has been great and I am really enjoying it. Hopefully something can be done in the summer. It has been the best period of my career because we have been winning every week."

Although Doyle is keen to remain at Elland Road, he insists he would have no problems returning to Coventry.

He added: "I have got no bitterness to the club or anyone there and if I end up going back next season I will get my head down and work hard to play.

"It was hard for me to leave because Coventry have been a great club for me and it is where I call home in a way. I am sure I will settle back in the area eventually."
