In-form Accrington made it 18 points from a possible 21 with a 1-0 win at Shrewsbury.

Bobby Grant scored his 14th goal of the season after 26 mins when he fired in from close range after a mix-up between Kelvin Langmead and Shane Cansdell-Sherriff.

Shrewsbury should have been ahead early on but Jake Robinson missed a sitter when put through by Dave Hibbert, side-footing wide of the goal after rounding goalkeeper Dean Bouzanis.

Accrington had three strong shouts for penalties turned down in the first half and goalkeeper David Button saved Shrewsbury from a heavier defeat as he denied Andrew Procter and Luke Joyce, while Grant and Michael Symes missed good chances from 12 yards.

Procter was sent off seven minutes from time for a second bookable offence.
