Five-goal United reclaim top spot

Wayne Rooney provided the spark Manchester United needed to reclaim their place at the top of the table as they defeated Portsmouth 5-0.

The England striker made the breakthrough in the 40th minute with his 23rd goal of the season.

Shots from Nani and Michael Carrick both took deflections into the net while Dimitar Berbatov scored with a low drive and Marc Wilson an own goal.
