Nani off as United held

Manchester United winger Nani will be suspended for the Carling Cup final against Aston Villa later this month after being sent off in the Barclays Premier League 1-1 draw against the same opponents.

The Portuguese player was red-carded for a two-footed challenge on Villa skipper Stiliyan Petrov after 29 minutes and faces a three-game ban.

Carlos Cuellar gave Villa an 18th-minute lead but an own goal from James Collins four minutes later earned the visitors a deserved point.
