Boss Simon Grayson saw Leeds lose 1-0 at Southampton and then stated he believed his side will still win automatic promotion from League One.

Dan Harding converted Jason Puncheon`s cross after 25 minutes to give Saints a seventh straight home league win and leave Leeds seven points behind top-of-the-table Norwich.

"We are in a great position despite this result. We have got games still to come and we are confident what we can achieve," said Grayson. "Norwich look as though they are going to go up and I feel that if we play to our full potential we will get the other automatic place."

He added: "This is one of the hardest leagues to get out of. Everywhere you go it is a sell-out but we have to live with that extra pressure. It's a great feeling to be promoted and I hope we experience it.

"Sometimes you have to grind out results but we did not do that here. I cannot remember us working their goalkeeper and that is a disappointment."
