Burton sign former Chester defender

Burton are set to sign former Chester defender Shaun Kelly on a deal until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old, who had a trial spell with League Two rivals Port Vale at the turn of the month, has been training with Paul Peschisolido's side for a fortnight.

Albion expect the deal to be approved by the Football League in time for him to be included in the squad to face Chesterfield on Saturday.

Kelly has been a free agent since Chester were wound up and expelled from the Blue Square Premier.
