Tranmere have signed West Brom midfielder Joss Labadie on loan until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old is a second-year professional at the Baggies and has had previous loan spells at Cheltenham and Shrewsbury.
He scored five goals in 14 appearances for Shrewsbury and Rovers boss Les Parry said: "Joss is a very promising young midfielder and I'm delighted to have signed him on loan. He's strong, industrious and will add to our options in the centre of the pitch."
Parry added: "I'd like to thank West Brom manager Roberto Di Matteo for allowing Joss to come on loan to us.
"We're still aiming to bring in a striker and the left back before the deadline on Thursday afternoon."
