Rotherham manager Ronnie Moore has condemned Lee Hughes for his actions during Saturday's clash with Notts County - and the Millers fan who ran onto the pitch at the final whistle appearing to head in the direction of the Magpies striker.

Hughes was on the end of abuse from visiting fans at Meadow Lane and, following an incident in the first half, appeared to stand facing supporters for a few seconds.

Frustrations then boiled over after the game as a Millers fan got on the pitch only to be restrained by Rotherham players before stewards took him away.

Moore told The Star: "He took a load of stick but a player with his experience should not get involved and should not react."

He added: "I can understand people's feelings but the fan shouldn't have come on the pitch, you have to be more controlled."
