MK Dons midfielder Stephen Gleeson seems set to be out for the remainder of the season after injuring his knee.

Gleeson, who has become a first team regular since joining the Dons from Wolves last summer, sustained the knock during the second half of the defeat to Bristol Rovers on Monday. An ongoing scan is expected to confirm that the 21-year-old Irishman has damaged knee ligaments and will miss the Dons' remaining six games.

Manager Paul Ince certainly feared the worse when speaking after the Rovers game, telling the club's official website: "It looks like Stevie's medial knee ligaments so it looks like he'll be out for the rest of season - we're talking three months."

If his absence is confirmed, it leaves Ince with a selection dilemma in midfield as Peter Leven is already nursing an ankle problem.
