Scott McGleish is hoping to break the 200 career league goal barrier next season after agreeing a new one-year contract at Leyton Orient.

The 36-year-old netted 12 goals as the Os survived relegation last season and now needs just 10 more to reach the next big milestone.

He told the club's official website: "Reaching 200 goals is an aim. I always back myself to score and that'll be the case again next season."

He continued: "Everyone talks about the fact I'll be another year older, but I still feel fit and ready to play 40-odd games."

McGleish, who is in his third spell at Brisbane Road, added: "I'm pleased to sign for another year. Every player wants to play as high as possible and it's great to stay here in League One.

"Everyone knows I have a lot of fondness for the Os, so there was no decision to make really."
