Gregor Robertson has signed a new-one year contract to keep him at Chesterfield until June 2011.

The defender has been out of action since sustaining a broken leg in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash against Carlisle back in November, but paid tribute to the club for standing by him during what was a difficult time.

He said: "This is the worst injury of my career and I appreciate the support shown by the club.

"Although it has been a long haul to fully recover, I hope to be able to get into some light training in time for the start of pre-season and am really looking forward to moving to the club's new stadium."

Elsewhere, Jamie Lowry is set to sign a new deal on his return from holiday, while the Spireites are still awaiting a response from Wade Small regarding the offer of a new contract.
