Macclesfield midfielder Ross Draper has revealed his relief following the results of an MRI scan.

The 21-year-old sustained the ankle injury against Cheltenham in March, but has since struggled to make a full recovery - igniting fears of a serious problem. However, the scan revealed bone bruising which could see him return within a month.

He told the Macclesfield Express: "Although bruising of the bone doesn't sound good, they said it's not that severe an injury so if I stay off my ankle completely for a month, it should have the time to heal. I expected it would need to be put in a cast or operated on."
