Tranmere coach Wayne Allison has left the club as boss Les Parry plans for the new season.

Former Rovers players Allison and Shaun Garnett served on the coaching staff for the majority of last season and helped the club to avoid relegation. Parry has now showed Allison the door in a cost-cutting measure but said discussions would be held about a new coaching structure.

Parry said: "I'm very sorry to see Wayne leave the club. He did a great job while he was here and the three of us worked well as a team.

"Unfortunately, looking at the staffing budgets, decisions had to be made. Further discussions will take place with the board regarding the new staffing structure."
