Royals complete Griffin signing

Reading have completed the signing of defender Andy Griffin from Stoke for a nominal fee.

The 31-year-old right-back spent the second half of last season on loan at the Madejski Stadium and has now penned a two-year contract.

Chairman Sir John Madejski said: "This is very good news indeed for Reading and an extremely important signing. Andy was universally wanted by the manager, myself, the board and all our supporters as well.

"There was interest from other clubs but we`ve finally got our man. He was a real stalwart when he was on loan and we are delighted to have him."
