City duo miss Sweden trip

Danny Haynes and Nicky Maynard will miss Bristol City`s pre-season tour of Sweden.

Haynes has groin and thigh problems while Maynard is nursing a knee injury. Both players will remain in England to receive treatment along with Christian Ribeiro (back) and James Wilson (knee).

However, Louis Carey will travel despite missing pre-season training so far due to a heel injury.

City will play Gothenburg, Helsingborg and Vallens in Sweden and boss Steve Coppell told the club`s official website: "It is an opportunity to cement a few ideas and get a good framework in place.

"We won`t be judged on the three games but it will give us a good idea of where we are fitness-wise as Swedish teams are in the middle of their season.

"They should be way ahead of us in terms of fitness but we should do well with our technique. It will give me a chance to experiment with different shapes."
