Boyd to stay Posh

Peterborough's preparations for the new season have received a massive boost after highly-rated winger George Boyd finally signed a new contract.

The 24-year-old, who ended last season on loan at Nottingham Forest, appeared to be on his way out of London Road this summer, but he agreed terms while in Portugal on the club's pre-season tour last week.

Boyd finally put pen to paper on the contract ahead of Wednesday's pre-season friendly with West Ham.
