Birmingham keeper Colin Doyle has linked up with League One side Plymouth on a week's trial.

The 25-year-old played 45 minutes of last night's friendly clash with Hereford.

Doyle, an academy product, made 19 league appearances for Blues during the 2006-2007 campaign.

But since then he has made only four league starts and last season slipped to third in the pecking order behind the on-loan Joe Hart and Maik Taylor. Hart has since returned to Manchester City, but has been replaced by former Manchester United keeper Ben Foster.
