Football News 24/7Peterborough striker Aaron McLean will undergo a precautionary MRI scan on Thursday to determine the extent of the injury he suffered in the Carling Cup victory over Rotherham.
McLean was on target in Tuesday night's 4-1 win but then suffered an injury to his lower right leg which resulted in him being stretchered off and taken to hospital.
The club are hopeful the forward has avoided any serious damage but must now wait for the results of Thursday's scan.
