Lovre to be monitored by Tykes

Barnsley manager Mark Robins has confirmed midfielder Goran Lovre suffered whiplash after being knocked out in Saturday's home win over Crystal Palace.

Lovre, left unconscious when struck by a shot from Palace midfielder Darren Ambrose in the closing stages, was later discharged from hospital after X-rays revealed no serious damage.

Robins told the club's official website: "We'll have to wait and see how he is. Goran has a whiplash-type injury and will definitely miss training on Monday."
