Oldham continued their unbeaten start to the campaign but had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Bristol Rovers.
Latics winger Chris Taylor cancelled out an early strike from Will Hoskins in an open game which saw Rovers defender Danny Coles shown a late red card.
Oldham squandered the first chance when Jean-Yves M'Voto headed wide, but it was M'Voto's error which led to Rovers taking an eighth minute lead.
His wayward header was chased down by Hoskins, who produced a superb lob from the edge of the box to leave goalkeeper Dean Brill stranded.
Dale Stephens almost hit back for Oldham, only for his 25-yard drive to be beaten away by Mike Green.
Stephens created the equaliser just before half-time as his short free-kick was confidently swept home from 18 yards by Taylor.
Oldham missed a sitter moments later, with Ournare Tounkare somehow heading wide from point-blank range.
Tounkara fired another effort off target while Dean Furman was unlucky to see his shot deflected inches wide.
Having survived a frantic spell, Rovers broke out and Hoskins forced two saves before his set-piece struck the crossbar.
Coles was sent off for his second booking after 86 minutes but both sides could have snatched victory as Brill made a tremendous save from John Akinde and Stephens clipped the bar with a free-kick in the eighth minute of stoppage time.
