Crewe boosted at the back

Crewe defender Mat Mitchel-King is expected to make a speedy recovery from the head injury he sustained against Burton.

The 27-year-old was forced off just before half-time in the 1-1 draw at the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday.

He reported for training on Monday but was advised by the club's medical staff not to take part.

Mitchel-King should be able to train later in the week with a view to being fit for the visit of Oxford.
