Marvin Morgan earned draw specialists Aldershot a welcome 1-0 win at Oxford after they played for more than half the match with 10 men.

The Shots striker hit a spectacular left-footed drive just before the hour after he was let in by a mistake from Oxford left-back Anthony Tonkin.

Aldershot had been reduced to 10 just before half-time when Jamie Vincent's second foul on Alfie Potter earned him a second yellow card.

Shots goalkeeper Jamie Young saved almost everything that came his way and when he was beaten Asa Hall's header came back off the crossbar.

Morgan also hit the woodwork with a far-post header that grazed the top of the crossbar.
