Timlin to extend shrimpers loan

Swindon midfielder Michael Timlin is set to extend his loan spell at Southend by a further month.

Timlin joined the Shrimpers to fill the void left by injured midfielder Craig Easton and has made five appearances at Roots Hall scoring one goal.

Easton has taken longer than expected to recover from his calf injury and manager Paul Sturrock is keen for Timlin to stay at the club as cover.
