Steve Agnew was unwilling to say too much about his future at Middlesbrough after their 1-0 loss at Norwich.

Agnew is minding the shop at the Riverside while chairman Steve Gibson looks for a replacement for Gordon Strachan.

Asked if he was interested in replacing Strachan on a full-time basis, Agnew said: "It's not about me, it's about the football club, other people will make a decision on that."

He added: "I have been told I will be in charge of the team for the foreseeable future and that's all I'm concentrating on at the moment.

"At the moment I just think the team and the supporters need a break. That will happen soon and when it does I'm sure the club will start moving in the right direction."
