Burnley have reported a pre-tax profit of £14.4m to shareholders.

The accounts for the 2009/10 season, ending on June 30 this year, includes rises in all aspects of the business, from match income to shop sales.

"As predicted, our exposure to the increased revenues of the Premier League has enabled the club to achieve a record profit," said chairman Barry Kilburn.

"This has been used to good effect to correct the losses incurred over previous years, repaying debt and strengthening the balance sheet."
