Doncaster have been dealt a blow with news James Chambers could be sidelined for a further two months following an injury setback.

The 29-year-old defender, yet to appear for Rovers this season due to a knee injury, had been hoping to return to Sean O'Driscoll's squad for last Saturday's win over Millwall.

But Chambers sustained a different injury to the same knee during a behind-closed-doors friendly and is scheduled to see a specialist early next week.

O'Driscoll had been hoping Chambers would boost his defensive options with Adam Lockwood (foot) and George Friend (knee) currently sidelined.
