Cobblers appeal Osman red

Northampton have lodged an appeal with the Football Association over Abdul Osman`s red card on Saturday.

The midfielder was dismissed by referee Iain Williamson on the stroke of half-time for a strong challenge on Port Vale midfielder Anthony Griffith.

But after reviewing DVD footage, the club have decided to appeal and a decision should be known on Tuesday afternoon.
