Portsmouth striker Danny Webber has had to put his comeback from a cruciate injury on hold.

The 28-year-old, who has been sidelined since March, hoped to be back in contention around Christmas but is feeling pain in his leg and will not resume training until the end of January at the earliest.

"Danny went to see the specialist the other day," said Pompey manager Steve Cotterill. "He is still a little bit down on his muscle bulk and I do not want to rush him back. He's had a tough injury and we have just got to make sure that when he comes back, it is right."
