Swans search for success against old boss

Friday night's championship fixture sees the Swans welcome back Kenny Jackett to the Liberty stadium.  

The former Swansea boss spent almost three years in South Wales, where he enjoyed a successful stint, gaining promotion to Npower League One in his first season in charge.  

In the two seasons that followed, Jackett found success in other competitions with the Swans, winning the FAW Premier Cup title twice and the Football League Trophy.

Jackett went on to join Manchester City before taking the reins at Millwall in 2007.

The former Welsh international guided this weekend's opponents to promotion via the play-offs last season, and will come into the game confident as his side romped to a 3-0 victory over Scunthorpe last weekend. 

The Swans should also come into the fixture full of belief despite a dip in home form. Losing two of their last three fixtures at the Liberty, they still sit comfortably in third spot after securing victory number 11 of the campaign away at Ipswich on Saturday.

In a game that saw them score three goals in less than 25 minutes, both players and fans should be optimistic that they can get back to winning ways at home, meaning we would leapfrog bitter rivals Cardiff and move into an automatic promotion place.

The game is one that, on paper, the Swans should take all three points from, but with Steve Morrison already on ten goals this season for the Lions, the Swansea back line will have to be on top form to prevent the Welsh international forward adding to his goal tally.
