Notts County first-team coach Tommy Johnson has left his position following a review of the backroom team by manager Paul Ince.

Johnson was a fans' favourite as a player at Meadow Lane, scoring 47 goals in just over 100 appearances for the club.

Having gone on to play for Derby, Aston Villa and Celtic, Johnson returned to Notts as a coach in 2007 alongside former boss Ian McParland.

A statement on the club`s official website said: "Everyone at Notts County would like to thank Tommy for all his hard work at the club and wishes him all the best for the future."
