Highly rated Tottenham youngster Andros Townsend has made the short move across London, joining Watford on loan for the remainder of the season.

The promising England U-19 midfielder made his Spurs debut in the FA Cup 3rd Round victory over Charlton earlier in the month.

His impressive display caught the eye of many after scoring the opening goal in the 3-0 win at White Hart Lane, shortly after returning from a five month loan spell at Ipswich Town.

But with a wealth of talent at his disposal, Harry Redknapp has decided that another loan move would be in the best interests of his young starlet as he seeks more regular first-team football.

Townsend is used to plying his trade in the lower leagues having previously spent time at MK Dons, Yeovil and Leyton Orient, making sixty-two appearances in total, scoring seven goals.

He returns to the Championship with an in-form Watford side, as Malky Mackay looks to strengthen his squad in a bid to build on their impressive start to the season as they look to reach the play-offs.
