Football News 24/7Defender Darren Purse has left Sheffield Wednesday by mutual consent.
The 33-year-old joined on a free transfer from Cardiff in July 2009 and made 71 appearances in all competitions.
The club said on their official website: "Sheffield Wednesday would like to thank Darren for his services and wish him the best of luck for the future."
