Huddersfield have signed experienced goalkeeper Nick Colgan on a short-term deal until the end of the season.
The 37-year-old spent a spell on loan at the Galpharm Stadium from Blue Square Bet Premier side Grimsby in October following an injury to first-choice Alex Smithies.
With Smithies having recently had an operation to correct a knee cartilage problem, manager Lee Clark has signed Colgan as cover for Ian Bennett.
"Nick fitted right into the group when he joined us on loan earlier in the season," Clark told the club`s official website.
"With Alex unfortunately set to miss at least a month, it was an easy decision to bring Nick back in for the rest of the season."
Colgan will go straight into the squad for Saturday`s League One game at home to Colchester.
