Ashbee joins Preston

Preston have completed the signing of long-serving Hull midfielder Ian Ashbee on an 18-month contract.

Ashbee, 34, becomes reunited with Phil Brown following their time together at Hull and is the North End boss' first permanent signing.

The midfielder has made 20 appearances so far this season for Hull and will go straight into the Preston squad for Tuesday night's trip to Barnsley.
