City suffer Dynamo defeat

Manchester City face a salvage operation at Eastlands next week if they are to remain in the Europa League following a 2-0 last-16 first-leg defeat at Dynamo Kiev.

Goals from former Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko and Oleh Gusev either side of half-time handed Dynamo Kiev victory.

It was a frustrating night for City manager Roberto Mancini, who saw Mario Balotelli come off in the second half with the Italian striker claiming he was unwell.
