Cheltenham stunned high-flying Bury after two goals in the first seven minutes set them on course for a 3-2 win at Gigg Lane.

The visitors struck after three minutes when Andy Gallinagh's bullet header from a Danny Andrew corner whistled past Cameron Belford.

Four minutes later they were two up as David Bird's inch-perfect through ball set up Josh Low to beat Belford with a powerful finish.

Bury replied almost immediately from the head of Ben Futcher, and only a mighty rearguard action from the Robins defence prevented the home side from equalising as they mounted numerous attacks throughout the first period.

The introduction of the lively Andy Haworth on the hour mark gave The Shakers some much-needed impetus and he volleyed home the equaliser from a Steven Schumacher corner in the 68th minute.

But straight from the re-start Low notched his second of the match, a coolly-placed chip over a stranded Belford.
