Barnsley striker Garry O'Connor has had his contract cancelled at Oakwell by mutual consent.
The Edinburgh-born 27-year-old has made 26 appearances for the Tykes since signing a permanent deal with the club following an initial loan spell from Birmingham in September.
O'Connor started out at Hibernian and joined Lokomotv Moscow in a £1.6million deal in March 2006 before sealing a £2.6million switch to Birmingham 15 months later. He scored four goals during his time at Oakwell. Manager Mark Robins said: "We wish Garry all the best for the future."
