Blackburn Rovers midfielder David Dunn is a major doubt for the weekend derby clash against Bolton Wanderers.
The one-cap England international injured his calf in Monday night's defeat against Manchester City, and is currently being addessed by medical staff at their training facility.
It's a potential blow for manager Steve Kean, who finds himself in a relegation battle at Ewood Park after coming in as manager midway through the season.
Dunn's experience and ability could be crucial in the run-in, and the 31-year-old former Birmingham star has featured 26 times in the Barclays Premier League so far this season.
"David felt a strange feeling in his leg and came off. We are hoping it is only fibres, rather than anything more serious," said Kean.
Rovers will be hoping for a quick recovery to have the player available again in May.
