Latics sweat over influential duo

Wigan manager Roberto Martinez will wait as long as possible before deciding on the fitness of influential duo Charles N'Zogbia and Mohamed Diame.

Both players were forced off with knocks during the 1-1 draw with Everton at the DW Stadium three days ago and are now doubtful for Saturday's trip to Aston Villa.

"As you can imagine, after coming off injured from a game, it's going to take a few days for the problem to fully reveal itself and for the player to recover," Martinez told Latics player.


 

"We're treating them and will monitor their recoveries during the week.

"But it's going to be another two or three days before we can make a final assessment."
